And we certainly cannot wait for the festival to return, but in the meantime one of the way we can feel euphoric again is by revisiting one of its major highlights from 2019, the inimitable US jazz funk ensemble Ghost-Note.įounded by Snarky Puppy’s percussionists Robert “Sput” Searight and Nate Werth, centred around the exceptional bass work of Dwayne “MonoNeon” Thomas Jr., and featuring an expansive roster of outstanding musicians, Ghost-Note is a band from the future, playing forward-thinking jazz motifs that are layered up on some pretty gripping grooves.
